Description
Silver-colored hair barrette mounted with Tennessee slag glass found in a creek in Tennessee. Slag glass formed when the farm implement melted down ore and skimmed off the contaminates (melted sand) and threw in the creek. Slag glass found in light blue, lite turquoise, pink, dark blue and green. During the Civil War the farm implement plants were destroyed.
Barrette has a very strong clasp to hold your hair securely.
